@cairobraga @AAMfP @jenkstom You are not forced to use the journal in #Logseq, just set a page as the home. It has Document Mode built-in (just press Esc-t-d) or you can default to no bullet points with this "Hybrid Mode":https://discuss.logseq.com/t/hybrid-mode-hide-bullet-points-for-first-level-blocks-with-no-children/20641?u=alex0With plugins you can get banner images, kanban boards and Notion-like icons.
@spinningthoughts So like my "Hybrid Mode" for Logseq?https://discuss.logseq.com/t/hybrid-mode-hide-bullet-points-for-first-level-blocks-with-no-children/20641?u=alex0Also in #Logseq there is Document Mode built-in, just press t-d to switch mode.And with some other CSS you could also remove bullet points from page embedded with a given tag like this:{{embed [[page]]}} #longform
The idea of transcluding entire pages into another page has been more well-established in designs of, for example, #Logseq. So that works. You want to write a long-form page deeper into an outliner thread? You can use a backslash-dialogue to create that new page and transclude/link it in place. Works just as well. A few complex scenarios where you mix long-form text and outliner thought annotations don’t really work with this scenario, but that’s okay.
@AAMfP @jenkstom thanks for the links and help, Marco! I also have been watching videos about #Logseq and it really does seem like an amazing piece of software. I still don’t think it will fit my needs and use cases completely: I’m a musician that needs a Notion-like tool to organize my professional projects and personal daily life, so I am looking for "designable" pages, galleries, being able to write long-form, kanban/grid/calendar for task management (#Affine and #Anytype are the ones who fit this bill the better, from what I could see). so the daily journaling outliner premise of Logseq doesn’t sound adequate to what I’m looking for. however, the plugins ecosystem seem to have potential to fill the gaps the base program might have for me, but I can only explore the plugins while actually trying the software so I will do that for the next week or so, because between Anytype, Affine and Logseq, the latter is the most mature software, from what I could investigate. also Anytype doesn’t have Canvas/Whiteboard and Affine still doesn’t have an Android app. Logseq has both. I’ll probably try all 3 of them, but Logseq will be the first.
@CyberSentry @bunnyhero ? #Logseq documentation has always been a Logseq graph: https://docs.logseq.com
I am seriously considering reactivating my #Readwise account. Not so much for their #ReadLater app, but for the import/export of highlights from various services that I use, which don’t have #Logseq or #Obsidian extensions. 🤔 #productivity #PKM
@bunnyhero Maybe a documentation in form of a #logseq graph would be a good idea
@abcdw My favourite feature is automatically periodically save a snapshot of current tabs as Markdown indented lists. And since I specified my #Logseq folder as the saving path, I can navigate my browser history from Logseq journal.
I just returned my iPad Pro M4. #iPad is not a computer. Here are some of the things I couldn’t do: - No custom app launcher like Alfred or Raycast- No local development- Inconsistent or non-existent keyboard shortcuts- No multiple audio streams- No browser extensions for Chrome/Brave- No granular firewall apps like Little Snitch - Can’t connect to my hardware crypto wallet- Can’t export/backup my #Protonmail- Can’t use #Logseq plugins- Can’t backup (via Arc). iCloud is not backup.
